VII. CONCLUSION
In our previously published Argentina
Executive Call Center Report 2007 we
emphasized that companies outsourcing
projects to countries with large
populations choose cities rather than
countries per se. This also is the case
with Brazil, Mexico, India, the Dominican
Republic and most other thriving outsourcing
markets. Two to four major Tier 1 and Tier 2
cities attract over 80% of major contracts
being outsourced. Brazil further validates
this insight with Rio and Sao Paulo cities
responsible for 75% of contact center activity
- 90% when its three Tier 2 cities are included.
As costs rise and talent depletes Tier 2 and 3
cities emerge as is the case with Brazilīs
three Tier 2 cities, and Hyderabad and Kolkata in India.
